APPLE LEMONADE -JUICER OR BLENDER (Spring MAR. 5-MAR. 20)
Ingredients:
2 apples, cored and chopped
Juice of 2 meyer lemons (or regular) 1-inch piece fresh ginger, minced
4 cups water
1 tbsp honey or maple syrup (optional) 1 bunch basil
Instructions:
(Juicer): Juice the apples, ginger, lemons and basil together.
(Blender): Blend the apples, ginger, and water until smooth. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth to remove the pulp. Stir in the lemon juice and honey or maple syrup (if desired). Pour over chopped basil, stir and serve.
